Barcelona-based graphic design studio Atipus was invited to take part in the BCNMCR 2014 edition. BCNMCRis an exhibition held at Manchester and dedicated to graphic design, typography, and illustration studios from Barcelona.
Studio Atipus designed this series of 8 posters inspired by Madchester, a music scene that developed in Manchester towards the late 1980s and into the early 1990s.

Artist Tangshi was born in 1984 in Changsha, the capital city of the Chinese province Hunan. In 2002, he started studying at the Tsinghua University Academy of Art where Tangshi received his Bachelor of Arts degree in the year of 2006. In recent years he participated in several group and solo exhibitions and received different awards. Tangshi always tried to improve his artistic style. While working as graphic design for design firm Interbrand, Nick Agin was part of the team, which had the opportunity to rename and reposition one of the most widely recognized companies in the financial market: The New York Stock Exchange. Interbrand’s task was to develop a matching identity proposal that reflects the evolved strategy of the NYSE brand. The identity proposal shows graphical reinterpretations of financial data feeds. They transformed it into generative visual marks.
